Weirdly I'd always disliked Telecasters but one day I work up and decided I wanted a butterscotch blonde Tele and that was that. I ended up deciding to build one from a kit from Pit Bull Guitars in Australia rather than buy one. Well, at the time I had no idea that maple stains differently to ash and to cut a long story short it never looked the way I wanted, not to mention it didn't play or feel great. The neck is like a baseball bat.

I ended up sanding it back and giving it to my dad to do whatever paint job he wanted. While I still don't play it that much it hold a strong sentimental value to me.
